Through this process, the fiduciary delegates of a Mexican bank can register the trust before the National Foreign Investment Registry (RNIE).

  • The registration procedure before the RNIE, can be submitted through the electronic platform, by email (inscripciones.rnie@economia.gob.mx) or in person at the following address: 1940 Insurgentes sur Ave., 8th floor, Álvaro Obregón, Florida, Mexico City, Mexico 01030, or directly in any representative office for the Ministry of Economy.

To prove the migratory status in Mexico of trustees in the first degree, In case they are foreign individuals with residence in Mexico.

Cost: Free

The proceeding is free of charge; however, in cases of untimely filing, a fine between 30 and 100 Measuring and Update Units (UMA) must be paid. This file contains all other details.

Time frame

The authority has 5 business days to issue a resolution. Within this same term, it may issue a requirement to the entity. If, upon the 5 business days, no requirement is issued, the proceeding shall be considered filed correctly.
