Register with the tax administration

★ Obtain tax ID (RFC) When applicable

★ Obtain e.signature (e.firma) When applicable

"Neutral investment" mechanism

★ Authorization for Neutral Investment Mechanism When applicable

Incorporation of the company (3)

1 Reserve the company name

2 Obtain articles of incorporation

3 Inform the use of the reserved name

Commerce Registry (1)

4 Register at the Commerce Registry

Social Security (IMSS)

★ Register as an employer (IMSS) When applicable

National Foreign Investment Registry (RNIE) (1)

★ Register user When applicable

★ Register the legal representative When applicable

5 Register the company before the RNIE

Mexico Business Information System (SIEM) (1)

6 Register one or more "establishments"

Summary of the procedure

Foreign investment can occur as per the following percentages without previous authorization:

Up to 10 percent in: Cooperative production corporations.
Up to 49 percent in: (for further details please refer to Article 7 of the Foreign Investment Act)
