Summary of the procedure

This process applies to legal entities that wish to have a representation office in Mexico to provide information or disseminate their products without carrying out commercial business activities.

If the legal representative of the foreign legal entity wishes to perform procedures online, he must go to the Mexican Tax institution in (SAT) to obtain the unique registration code (RFC) and associated e-signature.

Depending on the place of incorporation of the foreign legal entity, you must submit a notice or request for authorization to establish a branch in the Mexican Republic to the Ministry of Economy.
